A Trion man was arrested following a reported domestic disturbance, according to an arrest report from the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities say 25-year-old Israel Dequez Dammon was taken into custody after deputies responded to a verbal domestic call at a residence on Glen Drive.

According to the report, deputies were dispatched after a third party reported shouting coming from the residence. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Dammon, who stated he had been involved in a verbal argument with his girlfriend. Deputies requested to speak with the woman involved and later made contact with her inside the home.

The report states that deputies heard what they believed to be an ongoing verbal argument and entered the residence. Dammon was instructed to place his hands behind his back, but officers reported that he initially resisted commands and continued to behave aggressively while being escorted to a patrol vehicle. Deputies also reported that Dammon continued yelling and refused to sit properly in the patrol car.

Following the investigation, deputies determined there was no evidence of a physical altercation. Dammon was charged with disorderly conduct and misdemeanor obstruction of a law enforcement officer.
