Susan Leann Abadio Lopez, 37 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she allowed her child to be truant from school.
Reports said that Lopez allowed her daughter to miss 12 unexcused days of school thus far this school year. Authorities stated that Lopez had been previously notified of the truancy issues but did nothing to correct it.
Lopez is charged with the mandatory education for children.
