Wesley Benjamin Parris, 17 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he was found in illegally in possession of a handgun.
Police said that Parris was found with the gun at a location on Battey Drive. Reports added that Parris did not have permission of his parents to possess the gun in the home.
Parris is charged with possession of a firearm by a person under 18 YOA.
