Bowdon High School has named Amie Abrams as its new head football coach, promoting him from within the Red Devils program following a successful stint on the coaching staff.
Abrams brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success in Georgia high school football to the position. He most recently served as Bowdon’s defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach, where he played a key role in leading the Red Devils’ defense and strengthening the program from within.
Prior to joining Bowdon, Abrams was the head football coach at Cedartown High School, where he compiled an impressive overall record of 65–19–1 over five seasons. During his tenure, Cedartown won three region championships, advanced to the postseason every year, and reached the Class AAAA state championship game in 2022, falling just one point short of a title.
Known for his consistency, leadership, and ability to build strong relationships with players and the community, Abrams is expected to provide steady guidance as Bowdon football enters its next chapter. His familiarity with the program and commitment to its tradition were key factors in the decision to promote from within.
Bowdon officials said Abrams’ championship-level experience and defensive expertise position the Red Devils to continue competing at a high level.
