Mary Heather Holcher, 51 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she helped a 14 year-old run away from home.
Police said that Holcher assisted the child in running away from her home on Elliot Drive and then lied to police about what happened.
Reports stated that after picking up the child she took her to her home on Orchid Place and did not return the child or contact the parents on her whereabouts.
Police went on to say that Holcher proceeded to lie to the investigators and concealed fats about her involvement.
Holcher is charged with interference with child custody, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and false statements and writings
