Michael Justin Price, 46 of Rome, was arrested this week after setting fire to a home on Yale Road in an effort to stop the sale and closing of the home.
Price is also accused of grabbing a woman by her arms forcefully, leaving red marks and bruising. He then allegedly tried to push the woman out of a car they were in.
Price then reportedly attempted to snatch a pistol from the victim for the purpose of depriving her of her property. The altercation resulted in the victim suffering visible bruises to her arm, face, leg, back and chest. Police added that after gaining possession of the gun, he ran from the home and shot her cellphone.
The incident occurred back on November 19th.
Price is charged with robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, criminal trespass, theft by taking, arson and battery.
