George Hadden Swanson, 62 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he was found shoplifting from a store he had been previously banned from.
Police said that Swanson was captured attempting to conceal $23.25 worth of merchandise in his jacket at the Circle K on North Broad Street.
Reports said that Swanson had previously been banned from the location for similar crimes.
Swanson is charged with criminal trespass and theft by shoplifting.
