James Mitchum Lee, 49 of Cartersville, was jailed in Rome this week after reports said he stole a 2014 Honda Civic from a location on N McLin Street.
Reports said that the theft occurred back on October 7th. The car’s value was listed at $5000.
Police added that Lee then allegedly forged the victim’s name on the car title and sold it to a scrap yard for $325
Lee is charged with theft by taking, theft by deception and altering, forging, counterfeiting motor vehicle certificates.
