Man Arrested for Armed Robbery of Floyd County Bar

Jeffrey Lamar Smith, 23 of Gadsden, was jailed in Rome after reports said he robbed the Stateline Tavern on Alabama Highway.

Reports said that Smith brandished a firearm while robbing two victims of nearly $3,000 in cash. 

Police said that the robbery occurred on December 28^th just before 2 AM.  

Smith was later found in Cherokee County before being extradited back to Floyd County.

Smith is charged with armed robbery.
