Gordon County deputy sheriffs were recently dispatched to Slate Mine Road near Fairmount in response to reports of residential burglaries. A surveillance camera had captured the image of the suspect vehicle leaving the scene and was collected by detectives. A ‘Look Out’ for the automobile was then issued among the deputies.
The next day, December 9, a deputy on patrol saw the suspect vehicle on Arnold Road and stopped the truck. The driver, BRANDON E. McCLURE, age 30, of Adairsville, was arrested and charged with 2 counts of (residential) Burglary, 2 counts of (felony) Theft, and Possession of Methamphetamine.
The investigation continued and resulted in the arrests on December 10 of Chris Collum, age 37, of Rydal for Receiving Stolen Property, and on December 11 of Jacob E. Walters, age 34, of White, charged with 2 counts of Burglary and 2 counts of Theft. Collum is free on bond while McClure and Walters remain in jail.
Additionally, deputies are seeking Brandon Lee Spires, age 34, and Chelsea Guffey, age 29, both of Bartow County, for Burglary and Theft. Anyone with knowledge of their whereabouts is urged to contact the authorities.
