Cameron Lowe, 22 of Cave Spring, a convicted felon, was allegedly found with a firearm while police were investigating a wreck at the intersection of Broad Street and 5th Avenue.
Reports said that a search of the car was done after officers stated that they had detected a marijuana odor. The gun was then found in a backpack in the back floorboard.
Lowe is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and probation violation.
