Authorities say a Silver Creek woman was arrested this week after allegedly presenting forged court documents in an attempt to gain custody of a child.

According to police reports, 48-year-old Dolly Kay Womack produced what she claimed were Superior Court custody orders and presented them to local law enforcement. Officers initially proceeded to act on the documents, but they soon noticed irregularities in the paperwork.

When questioned about the authenticity of the documents, investigators say Womack admitted the forms were fabricated and that she had never been granted legal custody of the child.

Womack was taken into custody and is facing multiple charges, including kidnapping, first-degree forgery, interference with custody, and false statements and writings.
