The Rome Photo Club (RPC) took top honors at the recent North Georgia Camera Club Council (NG3C) “Shootout,” an annual photography competition that brings together clubs from across the region for a fast-paced day of creativity and skill.

The event challenges participating clubs to create their best work under pressure. Teams receive five surprise topics early in the morning, then spend just a few hours shooting, editing, and submitting their images for judging.

RPC dominated this year’s competition with a remarkable 91 points — nearly doubling the next closest team, which scored 48 points. This marks a major leap from last year’s third-place finish, highlighting the club’s growing talent and teamwork.

According to NG3C’s official rules, each club may submit up to ten images per topic. Points are awarded based on how those images place within each category, with plaques going to the top three clubs overall.

“This is an incredible accomplishment for our members,” said an RPC spokesperson. “The competition is always tough, and the time limits push everyone to think creatively and work together. We’re thrilled with the results and proud of the effort that went into every shot.”
