Juan Pedro Reyes, 32 of Rome, was arrested this week after he was accused of burglarizing a mattress store on Capitoline Drive.
Reports said that Reyes forced his way into the business and stole two mattresses and two platforms. Police estimated the items were valued at $1,200.
Police stated that when officers arrived on the scene, they found the items in the back of his truck. Reyes then allegedly proceeded to lie to authorities about what he was doing at the location.
Reyes is charged with 2nd degree burglary, theft by taking, criminal trespass and obstruction.
