Peter Michael Lindgaard, 38 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he was found prowling outside a business on East 2nd Avenue around 1 am in the morning.
Police added that after initially refusing to identify himself he proceeded to give officers a fake name.
Lindgaard is charged with giving false information, obstruction, prowling and probation violation.
