The Georgia High School Association (GHSA) has released the proposed region alignments for the upcoming 2026–2028 Reclassification Cycle, marking the next step in organizing schools across the state for competition over the two-year period.
Schools now have until Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. to submit a Request to Transfer from a Region, should they wish to appeal their placement. Detailed instructions for submitting requests are available on the GHSA website, along with the full list of proposed region assignments.
Following the submission deadline, appeal meetings are scheduled for Monday, November 17, 2025, beginning at 9:30 a.m. The meetings will take place at the GHSA Office, where school representatives will have the opportunity to present their cases.
The meeting agenda will be released on Sunday afternoon prior to the appeal date and will be posted on the GHSA website.
