A convicted felon, Cody Ray Brand, 37 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he was found in illegal possession of a firearm.
Reports said that Brand was found with a Smith and Wesson .40 caliber handgun at a location on Turner Road.
Brand is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
