Floyd County families seeking holiday assistance have until Friday, November 21, to apply for the 2025 Sheriff Santa Program, the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office announced this week.
The annual initiative provides Christmas gifts to children whose families may be experiencing financial hardship. In partnership with Toys for Tots and supported by local businesses and community donors, the program helps ensure that children across the county experience a joyful holiday season. Sheriff Santa serves children ages 13–16—and older youth with special needs—while Toys for Tots assists children 12 and under.
To qualify, applicants must meet several requirements, including:
- Proof of Floyd County residency, such as a Georgia driver’s license, state ID, or utility bill
- Proof of the child’s age, typically a birth certificate
- One application per child
- No duplication of services, meaning families cannot also apply for other holiday programs such as Angel Tree or Hope for Christmas
Gift pickup is scheduled for the morning of December 13, 2025, at 2526 New Calhoun Hwy, Rome, GA 30161. Families will be required to present an ID that matches their registration information.
The Sheriff’s Office encourages eligible families to apply before the deadline, emphasizing that the program plays an important role in helping make Christmas brighter for local children.
