Trinity Rescue and Equine Sanctuary is welcoming the community back to the farm for its 2nd Annual Trinity Fall Festival, a free, family-friendly celebration of fun, food, and farm life. The event will take place Saturday, October 11, from 1 to 6 p.m. at 521 N. Avery Road in Rome.

The festival will feature a full day of activities for all ages, including pony rides, a petting zoo, hayride farm tours, and plenty of games and inflatables for children. Visitors can also enjoy local food booths offering BBQ, pizza, hot dogs, and sweet treats.

A costume contest will take place at 2 p.m., with prizes for creativity and spirit in both children and teen/adult categories. Music throughout the day will be provided by DJ Cowboy Chris and friends, keeping the energy lively and festive.

One of the event’s highlights is Storytime with Xena, featuring readings of Little Xena’s Amazing Day with Grandma Judy by author Marcia Johnson—and an appearance from Xena, the miniature horse who inspired the story. Guests can also browse a local vendor market, take selfies at the pony kissing booth, and meet Trinity’s beloved rescue horses, donkeys, and volunteers.

Founded as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Trinity Rescue and Equine Sanctuary provides safe, permanent homes for horses in need and offers equine-assisted learning programs that promote leadership, emotional growth, and connection within the community.

“Trinity’s Fall Festival is all about celebrating compassion and community,” said organizers. “It’s a chance to spend a day on the farm, make memories, and support a mission that gives horses—and people—a second chance.”
