Ethan Jared Smith, 24 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he became combative with police during an arrest for acting in a disorderly manner while intoxicated outside his home on Barron Road.
Police said that they were called to the scene after Smith allegedly yelled profanity toward neighbors from his front porch. He is also accused of threatening to do harm to them.
Officers added that when they attempted to place Smith into handcuffs, he became “combative” while threatening officers. He is also accuses of threatening a pest control tech.
Smith is charged with three counts terroristic threats/acts, aggravated battery against a law enforcement officer, felony obstruction, 2nd degree child cruelty and disorderly conduct.
