Corey Wayne Meers, 37 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he started numerous fires and then left the unattended while placing surrounding homes and structures in danger.
Reports stated that Meers failed to get a permit before letting a fire and leaving it unattended at his home on Russell Drive.
Police added that Meers was accused of illegal burning once in April, 5 times in June and 3 times this month.
Meers is charged with reckless conduct and not having a burning permit.
