An inmate at the Floyd County Jail, Jose Arturo Reyes-Cornjo, 34 of Rome, is facing additional charges after reports said he struck another inmate with a closed fist.
Reyes-Cornjo is now charged with simple battery and unlawful acts in a penal institution.
