A convicted sex offender, Jason Jermaine Staples Jr, 24 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he violated his terms of his release.
Police said that Staples, who committed a sex crime against a minor back in 2018, failed to register in Rome back in August.
Staples is charged with failure to register as a sex offender and probation violation.
