Christian Gonzales, 39 of Cedartown, was arrested in Rome after reports said he tried to get rid of police evidence during a traffic stop.
Police said that they initiated the stop after clocking Gonzalez driving 82 mph down GA 1 near Old Cedartown Road.
During the stop, Gonzales is accused of throwing a clear container that was later found to be suspected cocaine out of the passenger window.
Gonzales then told offices that he did not throw anything out of his widow.
Gonzales is charged with possession of cocaine, tampering with evidence, abandonment of dangerous drugs, obstruction, speeding and driving on a suspended license.
