A group of Floyd County Schools graduates has come together to make a life-changing difference for local students. Seven local businessmen, all proud Pepperell alumni, teamed up to donate $10,571.48, enough to pay off every outstanding student lunch balance in all Floyd County Schools.

Those who contributed to the effort include:

  • Stewart Bratcher – Bratcher Martin Law Firm
  • Josh Jenkins – Haynes Heating and Air
  • Harley Gambrell – Etowah Insurance Group
  • Clay Burkhalter – Camco Services
  • Mark Tant – Carver and Carver
  • Jon Headrick – Courtesy Ford
  • Eric Tant – John Henry’s Grill

The group said they wanted to give back to the community that helped shape them and ensure no student has to worry about an unpaid meal balance.

“This community gave us so much growing up,” one of the donors said. “We wanted to make sure today’s students have one less thing to stress about.”

In addition to the alumni’s contribution, Chris Sartin has made a separate $10,000 donation to Pepperell Schools. Those funds will help cover meals for students who may struggle to pay for additional lunches or breakfast throughout the year.

School officials expressed heartfelt gratitude for both gifts, calling them powerful examples of generosity and community pride.
