Penney Brooke Siford, 55 of Kentucky, was arrested this week in Gordon County after she was found with two kidnapped children.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies spoke by phone with a person, who reported that her mother, Penney Siford, and her brother took her two children from her home on Friday, August 18.
The reportee told authorities that neither Siford nor her brother has legal custody of the children and that they refused to bring them back.
She said she expected her children to be returned this week so that one of them could attend a dentist appointment for a tooth extraction. However, Siford allegedly refused.
Siford is charged with two counts kidnapping and two counts interstate interference with custody.
