Latisha Marie Espy, 43 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she stole close over $26 in merchandise from the Dollar General store on Dean Avenue.
Reports said that Espy placed the merchandise in her purse and walked out of the store without paying. The total amount of items stolen was listed at $26.50.
Espy is charged with theft by shoplifting.
