Mary Ann Hill, 45 of Rome, was arrested this week after she allegedly tried to hit a police officer who was taking her into custody on a failure to appear warrant.
Police said that Hill at first refused to place her hands behind her back and tensed her body so that it obstructed the officer’s job. Hill then reportedly balled her fist and hit Officer Chase Burnes.
Hill is charged with battery, three counts felony obstruction of police, obstruction and failure to appear.
