Michael Chad Prather, 32 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he threw and hit a woman with a TV remote control.
Police said that the victim suffered redness, bruising and swelling to her elbow.
The incident occurred at a home on Kingston Highway.
Prather is charged with battery.
