Thomas Michael Dixon, 56 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he hit a paramedic in the face at a local hospital.
Reports said that the paramedic, a 29 year-old male, suffered visible injuries to his mouth.
Dixon is charged with battery, interference with medical professionals and disorderly conduct.
