Rome Police arrested three individuals, Shirley Michell Davenport, 39, Tracy Jean Cowan, 54, and Michael Alan Beck, 62, this week after a report said they were found trying to steal $770.04 worth of merchandise from the West Rome Walmart.
Police said that they were attempting to skip-scan items while placing them into bags before walking out without paying.
After arriving at the jail, Beck was found with a baggie of methamphetamine and a drug object inside his pants pocket.
All are charged with felony shoplifting. Cowan is additionally charged with criminal trespass, while Beck is also charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug related objects and crossing the guard line with drugs.
