Corey Wayne Meers, 36 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he stole water from Floyd County after having his account disconnected.
Reports said that Meers stole over $200 in water at his Russell Drive home. Meers allegedly removed a lock ($10 in value) that had been installed by the county so that he could get water.
Meers is charged with criminal damage to property, theft of service and interfering with public utilities.
