Two Rockmart women, Ashley Rena Timms, 32, and Erika Lyn Timms, 27, were arrested this week after a confrontation with a woman while she was holding a child.
Reports said that Police were dispatched to Triangle Foods on Nathan Dean Parkway after two women got into a verbal and physical altercation with an 18 year-old woman while she was holding child.
The victim told police that the women called her names, such as “ni****” before spitting in her face.
While police were investigating, the store manager told police that she observed the victim shove the suspect before another woman “came across with a hook and hit her”. This is when both suspects got on top of the victim.
The victim suffered a visible injury to her head from the attack. Police added that young children witnessed the altercation.
Both are charged with battery and two counts of cruelty to children.
