Two inmates at the Floyd County Jail, Shelton Tremaine Harris, 42 of Rome, and Robert Avery Garrett, 38 of Silver Creek, are facing new charges after an altercation with officers.
Reports said that Garrett broke off a metal food flap from his cell door while Harris refused to follow lawful orders.
Garrett is charged with felony interference with government property.
Harris is charged with obstruction of law enforcement.
