Mark Wayne Welch, 54 of Calhoun, was arrested this week after reports said he was found stalking and harassing a Rome woman last month.
Police said that Welch repeatedly told the victim that he was going to report her to DFCS before placing her under surveillance. Welch proceeded to send photos of the victim’s vehicle at different locations to her. He also allegedly sent messages to the victim’s family through apps after the victim changed her telephone number.
Welch is charged with stalking.
