A convicted felon, Damaris Deunte Stevenson, 36 of Silver Creek, was arrested this week after reports said he was found with a gun that had its serial number scratched off.
Reports said that the .22 caliber handgun was found during a traffic stop on Ga 20 at the Ga 1 Loop. Officers added that the stop was originally conducted when they saw that one of Stevenson’s taillights was broken.
Stevenson is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and criminal use of an article with an altered Id mark.
