Lakita Daniell Montgomery, 36 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she repeatedly shoplifted
Reports said that on April 18, 2025, Montgomery interchanged price tags on items and then paid less than the correct value for them. Police said that Montgomery stole $598 worth of value.
Then between April 22 and May 11, 2025, Montgomery again exchanged price tags on items then scanned and paid a less than correct value for them. This happened on at least 9 different occasions. She is accused of stealing over $1,150 worth of items.
Montgomery is charged with three counts theft by shoplifting.
