Jason Kirk Johnson, 40 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he shot another man with the intent to murder him.
Reports stated that the shooting occurred back on July 4th at a home located at 400 Calhoun Avenue.
Police added that Johnson is a convicted felon who was not permitted to possess a gun.
Johnson is charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
