Rome Man Imprisons Woman, Tries to Kill Her

Leland Thomas Ash, 31 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he imprisoned a woman and attempted to kill them.

Reports stated that Ash strangled the victim with the intent to kill them.

Police added that Ash also used a knife to threaten the victim.

The altercation occurred at an apartment on Avenue A.

Ash then proceeded to damaged over $500 of the victim’s property.

Ash is charged with aggravated assault, battery, false imprisonment, disorderly conduct, 2^nd degree criminal damage to property and terroristic threat/acts.
