Thomas Scott Early, 51 of Kingston, was arrested this week after reports said he seriously injured his pet cat.
Reports said that Early slammed his cat, Tiggy, in between a screen door and a door threshold and prevented it from freeing himself. He then dropped a full laundry basket on top of the cat, doing the same.
Early is then accused of maliciously pinning the cat up to a cabinet and smashed his paw in between the cabinet door before picking up the cat and slamming it down to the floor.
In the process of the cat attempting to run away, Early allegedly forcefully kicked the cat through the doorway of the Ward Mountain home.
Early is charged with cruelty to animals.
