Floyd County Schools (FCS) is proud to announce that 186 of its students have been named to the College Board’s AP School Scholar Roster, earning a total of 253 AP Scholar Awards.

This marks an increase of 14 scholars from last year and represents the highest number of AP Scholar recognitions in the district’s history.

The College Board’s Advanced Placement (AP) Program offers high school students the opportunity to engage in rigorous, college-level coursework and earn college credit or advanced placement based on their performance on AP Exams.

Students who achieve outstanding results on these exams are recognized with AP Scholar Awards, with multiple levels of distinction based on exam scores and the number of exams taken.

This milestone reflects the hard work and academic excellence of FCS students, as well as the support of dedicated teachers and staff who continue to foster a culture of high achievement.
