Daishon Jha’Kell Brown, 27 of Jacksonville, was arrested in Rome after reports said he acted as another person to make purchases around the city.
Reports said that Brown initially used the victim’s card in an attempt to make a $400 purchase from Publix with a cloned bank card.
He then proceeded to use the cloned bank cards to purchase numerous gifts, depriving the victim out of $2000.
Brown is charged with felony theft by taking, identity fraud, and two counts financial transaction card fraud.
