William Louis Cox, 39 of Conyers, was arrested in Rome after reports said he assaulted another person with a handgun at a store located at 1491 Turne McCall Blvd.
Reports said that Cox chased the victim around the parking lot with the gun.
Police added that Cox then proceeded to hit the victim in the head.
Cox is charged with aggravated assault, battery, reckless conduct and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime,
