Derek Wayne Bruce, 37 of Kingston, was arrested this week after reports said he stalked his ex-girlfriend
Reports stated that after the woman broke up with Bruce, he continued to send her text messages despite her telling him to stop. The messages read, “I don’t wasn’t to turn that switch that all I got left bro”, “Come tomorrow when your at work” and “Thank you for sending me prison”.
Bruce was later seen by neighbors in the back yard of the victim’s home without her approval.
When police attempted to talk to Bruce, he fled the scene on foot.
Bruce is charged with stalking.
