Claude Thomas Kinnebrew Jr, 39 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he nearly killed a woman while driving drunk on Riverside Parkway at Ga Loop 1.
Police said that Kinnebrew choked the victim until she could no longer breathe, while inside a moving vehicle.
Reports went on to say that when they stopped Kinnebrew, they found him driving under the influence of alcohol and in possession of marijuana.
Kinnebrew is charged with aggravated assault, DUI and possession of marijuana.
