Mose Adams Jr, 52 of Rome, was arrested this week after he was accused of escaping jail.
Reports said that Adams allegedly failed to show up to jail at his appointed time after pleading guilty to DUI.
Police said that Adams had been sentenced to serve 24 months of probation and 24 hours of jail time for the crime.
Adams is charged with escape.
