Cortes Warren Mayville, 43 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he imprisoned and attacked a 42 year-old woman at a home on Mossy Oaks Lane.
Reports said that Mayville shoved the victim to the floor while holding her in place with his knee around her chest.
Mayville then placed his hands round the victim’s throat until she could no longer breathe.
Mayville is charged with aggravated assault, battery and false imprisonment.
