Federal agents have placed an ICE hold on a 19 year-old Jeffry Vega, who was arrested in Chattooga County over the weekend, after wrecking his vehicle and killing a passenger.

Reports said that the passenger, 39-year-old Jario Cruz Gutierriez-Vargas of Atlanta, was ejected after crashing on GA 114 near Dovers Cut Road in Lyerly.

The Georgia State Patrol has arrested Jeffry Vega, 19, in Chattooga County following a wreck that resulted in the death of another on Sunday.

Report said that troopers were dispatched to a one-vehicle accident on GA 114 near Dovers Cut Road in Lyerly around 5 pm.  When they arrived they found that a male passenger had been ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene.

Vega, driver was then allegedly found to have been driving under the influence of alcohol and taken into custody.

Vega is charged with homicide by vehicle, serious injury by vehicle, failure to maintain lane, DUI and driving without a license.
