Derrick Orlando Mitchell, 54 of Buckhead, was arrested in Rome after reports said he rented construction equipment from Home Depot and never returned the item.
Reports said that Mitchell deprived the store out of over $1,500 in equipment after selling it instead of returning it.
Mitchell is charged with felony theft by taking, felony theft by deception and felony theft by conversion.
