The Rome Alcohol Control Commission (ACC) has granted an extension to a previously approved request for a beer, wine, and liquor pouring license for Peachy Pub, located at 325 Broad Street.
Applicant Guljar Singh informed the commission that he anticipates opening the establishment in the first week of July.
The pouring license was initially approved in September of the previous year after Singh submitted five key documents related to the business. These included a proposed menu, details about the kitchen equipment, an employee training plan, entertainment offerings, and a security plan that received approval from the Rome Police Department.
The ACC had previously raised concerns due to past compliance issues at the site, particularly related to the city’s 50-50 food-to-alcohol sales ratio. There were questions about whether the limited kitchen space could support sufficient food sales to meet regulatory requirements for liquor service.
